Red sweatshirt with school logo. White polo shirt, grey trousers - not tracksuit or jogging bottoms.
Red sweatshirt with school logo or red cardigan, grey skirt or trousers - not tracksuit or jogging bottoms.
White polo shirt/blouse. Alternatively, in summer, a red and white striped/checked gingham dress.
We discourage the wearing of multi-coloured/striped socks/knee highs, but grey, black or red tights are acceptable.
Sensible, low-heeled black shoes not trainers. We would advise that, from a health point of new, trainers are suitable to be changed into for outdoor PE/games, but not for everyday general wear.
Suitable, sturdy black boots may be worn in winter. If suitable footwear is not worn, children will be asked to change into black pumps during the day.
During hot, sunny weather we request that children bring a hat to school for health and safety reasons.
A school book bag is recommended (or similar). No rucksacks please, due to limited space.
Named PE bag with drawstring top (no rucksacks) containing:
- T shirt and shorts
- School PE T-shirt (your child's first coloured t-shirt will be given free of charge)
- Plain coloured shorts
- Pumps (elasticated tops are best)
- Trainers for outdoor games (only in KS2)
- In KS2, a tracksuit/jogging bottoms are acceptable for outdoor PE
Trunks or costume (KS2 only). Swimming goggles are not recommended, but may be worn with signed parent permission. Pupils with long hair will be requested to wear a swimming cap.
All of the above should be clearly marked with your child’s name.
In the interests of safety, it is a national requirement that children must remove all jewellery and other personal effects before PE lessons, including swimming. The National Curriculum requires all children to participate in PE, and also to understand rules about safety including reasons why jewellery should not be worn.
Any children wearing earrings, including stud earrings, must be able to remove them, as teaches are not permitted to assist. In the light of this advice, may we ask you to cooperate with us by not sending your child to school wearing jewellery, especially items that he or she cannot remove.
Earrings, if worn during the school day, must be stud earrings only — hoops or earrings that dangle are a hazard. If you are allowing your child to have their ears pierced, may we respectfully advise that is done at the beginning of the six week summer break.
