KS1 FREE SCHOOL MEAL ENTITLEMENT SEPTEMBER 2014

 

DON'T LET YOUR SCHOOL MISS OUT ON MUCH NEEDED FUNDS

The Government's new scheme allows free school meals for all pupils in KS1 from September 2014.

HOWEVER, as a school we would like to ensure that all those pupils who previously had a statutory entitlement to free school meals (ie the parents/carers of the pupils who were in receipt of one of the qualifying welfare benefits) CONTINUE to register their entitlement and that any families whose circumstances have changed and think they might be entitled, process a claim.  All new families should also register their claim.  THIS IS CRUCIAL as it is this registration which QUALIFIES your school for the associated PUPIL PREMIUM allocation for that pupil.

REGISTERING for STATUTORY FREE SCHOOL MEALS is EASY.  Please click HERE for the Lancashire website and process your claim.  Alternatively, call the Welfare/Benefits Offices on 01524-581207 quoting your name, date of birth and national insurance number for an IMMEDIATE ONLINE CHECK.

 

Lunch choices (three week rotation)

 

Fresh meals are served daily in school and children can choose what they would like on the day during first registration.  Meals are charged at £2.20 each unless they are entitled to statutory free school meals or universal free school meals (Reception, Yr1 & Yr2 classes).   In addition to the following choices we offer filled Jacket Potatoes on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays and Pick and Mix (fresh sandwiches & sides) on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Every day fresh fruit, yoghurts and milk are available.
